Western Tourist Radio (WTR) is an independent media platform dedicated to promoting authentic local experiences, sustainable tourism, and regional storytelling across Western Australia. Established in 2001 by Barry Green, WTR operates on 87.6 FM in towns such as Bunbury, Busselton, Dunsborough, Cowaramup, and Augusta, providing visitors and locals with insights into the area’s culture, history, and attractions.

Barry Green, with a background in radio technology and organic farming, combines his passions to connect travelers with the real heart of WA. Through radio broadcasts and the “Radio WA Conversations” podcast, WTR shares stories of local producers, artists, and changemakers, fostering a deeper connection between people and place.
